From: Organization and evolution of a novel cervid satellite DNA with yeast CDEI-like repeats
Southern blot hybridization. Genomic DNA of a female Indian muntjac was digested with Bam HI (lane 1), Eco RI (lane 2), Hae III (lane 3), Hind III (lane 4), and Xho I (lane 5) and probed with 32P-labeled satVI-1C5. Multiple hybridization bands with irregular patterns are observed in each digest. More apparent hybridization bands are seen in the Eco RI digest than in other digests. An approximately 5.0-kb strong hybridization band is also observed in the Hae III digest. Size markers are shown on the left side of the blot.
